Parma is living a dangerous end of the year and needed points like air from the confrontation with Hellas Verona. Both teams approached the game with a 4-2-3-1 formula. For the hosts, among the Romanians, only Dennis Man was a starter and integralist, while Valentin Mihaila was only on the bench. Verona started the match better and scored in the 5th minute through Coppola, perfectly served by Harroui’s cross. Parma rushed over the Veronese half and forced the equalizer.
In the 10th minute Man wastes a perfect chance to score by hitting the goalkeeper from eight meters. Nine minutes later the same Man quickly executes a corner from the right to Bonny, he enters the box, shoots strongly, the ball goes past the goalkeeper, is rejected in front of a Veronese defender, but reaches Sohm who performs a simple formality and makes it 1-1.
After the break, the guests took the lead again. In the 56th minute, the same Harroui served Sarr perfectly, who scored for 1-2, also with the help of goalkeeper Suzuki’s delayed reaction.
In the 74th minute, Verona escapes again on the counterattack, Tchatchoua puts Livramento in an ideal position, whose shot is blocked by Suzuki, but the ball unfortunately bounces to Mosquera who puts a two-goal advantage for the guests on the scoreboard: 1-3.
Sohm scored twice in the 90th minute, but Parma could not come back to save a point. Tough times are ahead for coach Fabio Pecchia, who is sinking further into the quicksand of the Serie A standings.
